Monthly NYCFC Meeting

April 18, 2025

We meet every month on the third Friday at 6:30 p.m.—back at Judson Memorial—with hybrid meetings as our goal, as the silver lining of being forced to meet on line is that distant and busy friends can join us.  Our monthly gatherings take place at Judson Memorial Church, an organization which shares our vision of social and environmental justice, and activism through the arts.

This month’s guest speaker, Kim Fraczek, Director of Sane Energy Project, will talk to us about “how our local gas utilities are the gateway to the fossil fuel industry at large. There are three big fights right now that you can get involved in to stop fracked gas expansion: National Grid, Con Edison, and help to pass the New York HEAT Act for affordable renewable heating and cooling”.

Clearwater is Pete Seeger’s legacy and was founded in the spirit and practice of the arts and activism, so all are welcome to play, sing and hang out with us.  Join in with your instruments, your voices, your poetry, or whatever you would like to share!  It will be helpful if musicians let us know ahead of time that you would like to participate.
